As part of its mission for outscaling project results and mission, REST-COAST is taking part in this year's edition of the International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB 2025) in Brisbane/Meanjin, Australia, between 15 to 19 June. Being one of the leading conservation science events, ICCB provides a platform for REST-COAST to highlight its mission for large-scale restoration of the river-to-sea connectivity through scalable, nature-based solutions that strengthen climate adaptation, biodiversity and resilience.
Attendees are invited to visit exhibition stand #27, where they can explore REST-COAST’s cutting-edge approaches and project results, showcased by the project’s communication and dissemination leaders, Pensoft Publishers. The stand will showcase the project materials, including fact sheets, pilot site overviews, interactive tools, and educational resources that highlight REST-COAST’s mission to reconnect coastal and riverine ecosystems. Visitors will also learn more about the project’s open-access article collection, "Restoration of Wetlands," published in the Nature Conservation journal, along with opportunities to contribute and publish relevant scientific work.
Moreover, acknowledging the importance of collaboration, REST-COAST is to be showcased alongside the Horizon Europe SELINA project, which strives to identify biodiversity, ecosystem condition, and ecosystem service factors that can be successfully integrated into decision-making processes in both the public and private sectors.
